Hi there, I’m Kristin.
Helping others to find more meaningful, connected, and authentic lives is my passion. Connection is why we’re here. Disconnection – from ourselves or those we are in relationship with – is very often the source of our pain.
I help people find the connection and healing needed to create a more fulfilling and vibrant life.
In my work with couples and individuals, I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their concerns and create a new vision for what they’d like their life to be. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and offers the honest feedback needed to support change. I work best with clients who want a therapist that is active and engaged, relatable, direct, funny, and willing to tell them the truth.
I understand no two individuals are the same, and I tailor our sessions together to address challenges unique to you. I can help you understand the root cause of your struggles and begin addressing those issues with better coping strategies.
My areas of specialty include couple therapy, codependency, trauma/PTSD, anxiety, LGBTQ+ mental health, and women’s issues. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and aim to serve clients from all backgrounds. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and trained in the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Education & Experience
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Idaho (LMFT-6819), and have over 10 years of experience counseling couples and individuals. I hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University where I received my training at the esteemed Family Institute in Evanston, IL. Prior to that, I began my career in mental health as a residential counselor working with at-risk youth with trauma backgrounds. It was through that work that I began to understand the healing power of relationships and the resilience of the human spirit.
